The Halcyon Interactive Laserdisc System, created by RDI Video Systems, was the first interactive laserdisc system for the home. Halcyon was also the first home entertainment system that featured speech synthesis and voice recognition. The system calls you by name and also keeps track of your progress in the games.
There were five uniquely-created games in development for Halcyon, but due to the high cost of the unit, the system never made it into full production, and only one of these games was released, along with a port of NFL Football.

THAYER'S QUEST
Thayer's Quest was one of the two games that were released for the Halcyon System. The Halcyon version of Thayer's Quest uses a double-sided laserdisc and contains a lot more scenes, backstory, and narration that was removed from the single-sided arcade release of Thayer's Quest. This game was initially conceived for Halcyon and was later ported to the arcade.

NFL FOOTBALL
NFL Football was the second of the two games released for the Halcyon System. It is a port of the NFL Football arcade game, using the same video. The game uses live footage from American football games featuring the San Diego Chargers vs. the Los Angeles Raiders.
